WHAT DOES REBUILT FROM SALVAGE MEAN?

In the event that an insured vehicle becomes a monetary total loss to an insurance company, it is assigned a “salvage” title and cannot be register for use on public roads. A salvage title assignment can result from a variety of circumstances: 1) repair costs (parts and labor) plus the salvage value of the vehicle have made it uneconomical to repair, 2) poor overall condition of a vehicle prior to damage, 3) damage that severely compromises a vehicle's structural integrity, or simply 4) the vehicle owner has exacted that their damaged car be replaced (usually in the case of a new or especially pristine vehicle). In Colorado, salvage titles are not issued on vehicles older than eight years as their retail value has depreciated to a point where even minor damage can result in a “total loss”. Every car has a unique story.

IS A REBUILT FROM SALVAGE VEHICLE RIGHT FOR ME?

Be forewarned, there are many unethical businesses that “slam” salvaged vehicles together in the hopes of making an easy profit! Repairs are often shoddy and serious problems may surface down the road. Consider also that laws governing salvaged vehicles differ from state-to-state. Fortunately as of recent, Colorado’s laws have become much more stringent. Salvaged vehicles that have been properly repaired must undergo a full inspection by the Colorado State Patrol before they may again be registered for use on public roads. It must be disclosed to any prospective buyer that the vehicle has been rebuilt from salvage and the Colorado title bears the designation “Rebuilt from Salvage”. It has rightly become impossibility for a buyer to unknowingly purchase a Rebuilt from Salvage automobile.

Yet, because of our ready access to affordable, original equipment parts and our unique position to select Saab automobiles entirely worthy of being re-commissioned, we recognize the benefits of keeping our customers in the cars they love.

Not just any Saab qualifies! Unlike the aforementioned repair shop, Mile Hi DOES NOT repair vehicles that cannot be returned to their absolute, pre-accident condition or whose structural integrity has been compromised. Our management and staff maintain a moral obligation to each customer... every Saab sold must adhere to the car’s original level of performance, occupant protection and corrosion resistance. Repairs are of the highest quality as our expertise is Saab, each technician possessing 15 years or more Saab repair experience.
